Scarpa Alpha
Scarpa Alpha positions itself as the most precise, technical and best gripping plastic boot ever built. The special rubber sole actually offers increased grip when wet. The midsole is a thermoplastic carbon fiber mix making it rigid, low profile and light. When combined with the low profile sole it places your foot closer to the ice or rock, again giving you precise control and increased sensitivity. The ergonomic positioning of the laces and tongue closure give a more natural movement while softer plastic inserts reduce pressure on the heel tendons. The whole Alpha structure - shell, cuff, tongue and closure system all work in harmony to better assist in the dynamic and precise movement of the foot during cramponing.
